Memorandum of Understanding Signing Ceremony for the “Mono Material Flexible Plastic Packaging Development and Sustainability Collaboration Project”

In 2025, Unique Plastic Industry Public Company Limited entered into a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) for the “Mono Material Flexible Plastic Packaging Development and Sustainability Collaboration Project” together with strategic partners across the value chain, including PTT Global Chemical Public Company Limited (GC), PTT Public Company Limited (PTT), PTT Oil and Retail Business Public Company Limited (OR), and Print Master Co., Ltd. The project aims to develop commercially recyclable flexible mono-material packaging solutions, which will initially be applied to packaging products under the Café Amazon brand.

The signing ceremony was attended by Mr. Solos Yodmongkol, Chief Executive Officer of Unique Plastic Industry Public Company Limited; Mr. Kampol Jangsuthivorawat, Executive Vice President, Downstream Petroleum Business Group Synergy Management, PTT; Mr. Kitchai Chalermsuksan, Executive Vice President, Industrial Platform Marketing and Sales, GC; Mr. Kraipit Premmanee, Executive Vice President, Lifestyle Business, OR; and Mr. Taweesit Khunakorn, Managing Director of Print Master Co., Ltd., representing each organization at the signing ceremony held at Palang Thai 2 Meeting Room, PTT Headquarters.

Under this environmentally friendly packaging development collaboration framework, Unique Plastic Industry Public Company Limited will work closely with PRISM (Petrochemical and Refining Integrated Synergy Management Project) of PTT, which will serve as the coordinator among all relevant stakeholders while connecting knowledge, technologies, and partner network capabilities to drive the project toward achieving sustainability goals. The Company will be responsible for the production of Machine Direction Oriented Polyethylene (MDOPE) film, a material known for its strength, transparency, and durability, as well as maintaining strict production quality control standards.

The products developed under this collaboration are designed to be recyclable in both technical and commercial terms, aligning with the Circular Economy approach and supporting sustainable plastic waste management objectives.
